18 Wheels Of Steel Haulin Prism3d Error Fix
I have a problem with my game 18 Wheels of Steel - Haulin. Every time I start it up, there is some problem with Prism3d. I've tried to update my graphic driver, but it did'nt help. I have Vista if that could be a problem?

But that's about all it has going for it.Honestly speaking, I tend to avoid games using Unreal 3 or 4. I've never once liked that engine outside of its roots, that being shooter-based games.

However, that isn't to say there aren't good games that use the engine. A Hat In Time happens to be one of those and I thoroughly enjoy playing that game. Bus Simulator 18 is coming out very soon which also uses Unreal 4, a switch from its previous game that used Unity.
I'm not happy with the switch, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt once I take a chance to play it once released.Fernbus itself is an unoptimized piece of mess that TML just refuses to fix. The bug with sudden acceleration is still present, graphics continue to flicker, AI traffic is still garbage, traffic 3D models are still very low quality to me, and don't get me started on what appears to be non-existent physics. At least Bus Sim 16 had some physics involved. I don't know why scs don't release a bus mod. They seem to have done all the work already.
They even have a camera round back of bus in there. I suppose it might be a licencing issue if they have modelled certain buses. But I would be happy with generic no name buses. I am sure that there would be a return on investment with the number of other bus coach games coming out. There seems to be an audience for this.As had already been suggested on the forum, maybe this would be a good area to try another engine with a bus coach simulator. But then that would be another team to support in house and might not be covered by the hassle of switching engines too.I think this update has really moved the prism 3d engine along.
I think it looks much better and runs smoother too. I do not see the advantage of starting again. 02 Jun 2018 22:22if you mean the one that will release on the 13th of June Squirrel played it the last 2 1/2 days and it is, in my opinion, crapbut i never had any good opinion on bus sims either because they all looked cheapI'm going to wait until I can test it out for myself. Probably be a while before I get to doing that. However, Bus Sim 16 wasn't that bad. Sure its basic, but its a fun little game with some graphical issues.
OMSI 2 though is the pinnacle when it comes to bus sims. Yes its performance is a lot to be desired, but one can't deny it can be fun if one learns how to play it. Believe me, modern buses are easier to drive than the older ones featured in some of the tutorials.
