INTRODUCTIONThis is my first (and probably last) FAQ so please forgive any formattingproblems I may have (I used Word 2000). Firstly I'd like to thank Josh Lesnickfor allowing me to incorporate his faqs into this one. He has saved me a lot oftime. My main motivation in writing this FAQ was to provide a complete guide toeverything JSRF.

At the time of writing there was no such thing. Anyone withany useful information on this game can email me at the above address (you willof course get full credit if included).

Anybody wanting to write a section forthis FAQ can contact me also. Any suggestions about how I can improve this FAQare also welcomed. Anyone wanting to post this FAQ on a website must ASK MEFIRST (and besides, if I agree you'll always receive the latest version).

Iregard the theft of intellectual property a major crime and will take actionagainst anyone who chooses to infringe these laws.I estimate this FAQ to be 80% complete - I am especially interested in peoplewho can beat the test run times.-2. REVIEWIt's an awesome game:)Graphics - 9/10It compares extremely favourably with the Dreamcast Version. (In fact itprobably isn't fair to compare the two) A constant 60 fps. Virtually noslowdown.

(Slowdown occurs when you have many characters in the garage - but ifyou're spending too much time in the garage you're not playing the gameproperly!!). No noticeable popup (draw - in) except in the Skyscraper district.Excellent sharp colourful texturing.

Have a look at 99th St and the movingadvertisements. Blurring effects when boost dashing. Overallextremely well done. I cringe when I think what this game would have lookedlike if it were put on the PS2. I think even a GameCube version would havesuffered slightly.I have to take a point off because of the minor slowdown in garage.

Also thelighting sometimes goes through buildings. Lacks true reflections (when lookingat mirrors you don't see yourself). The wolf among us cast. Sometimes you can stand on platforms whichdon't appear to be there. All comparatively minor complaints.Sound - 8/10Supports Dolby Digital 5.1 but I don't have the setup. Good soundtrack taken byitself but not quite as good as the original. Nice mixing of tunes.

Would havegiven this a 9.5 if they had allowed you insert your own songs.Gameplay/Control - 9/10Minor control issues such as getting off rails. Also since controls are camerasensitive the switching camera can cause unexpected results. After graffiti-ing you tend to head in a straight line (I don't know whether this isintentional or not) This can be annoying when trying to shave seconds of yourbest Test run times.Lastability/Replayability - 9/10It will take you about 50 hrs to finish (including obtaining all the charactersetc.) the first time you play it. Once you finish the game Test runs provide alot of the depth to the game which most people don't appreciate.

It is NOT tooeasy as many people have said. It is very easy to pass the game but difficultto master. I'm still constantly playing the Test Runs and if you can beat most(or some) of my times and still find it too easy then I take your point.

I haveto take a mark off because there is almost no point playing the very easy storymode again (Multiple difficulty levels next time Sega) and also the Jet Tech isseverely flawed and boring. My Tilt 10/10Truly original game. Incredibly under appreciated which is why it deserves it'sown complete FAQ. A better one player experience than Halo (yes I've finishedit on legendary) IMHO. There's something indescribably soothing about holdingdown the R trigger button and spray painting:)OVERALL 9.5EASILY ONE OF THE BEST GAMES ON THE XBOX. I've played a lot of games onpractically every platform and it angers me when I see the most popular gamesare unoriginal, shallow 'me-too' games.Minor things keep it from being perfect. (see below)Things I would like to have seen improved. include CUSTOM SOUNDTRACK.Allow you to pick and choose the songs you wish to play.

(In test run forexample you can only pick ONE song - your garage music). Instead of Jet Tech replace it with either Jet Graffiti 2 (the skyscraperdistrict could have had a doozy) or one where you graffiti while the cops areshooting at you. (Like in Chapter 7 - Shibuya terminal but harder). A higher difficulty level for the story mode.

It's ridiculously easy.
