When a weapon description says 'number of unlocks', what does that mean? Also, what does 'the number of fire' mean?I'm noticing that missle weapons deplete until they can't fire anymore: torpedoes, too.I'm talking about the one slot missle and torpedo weapons.I've been in a fight where the battleship did nothing but sit there and turn with the enemy, but not shoot at all, is this because the missle weapons were depleted? I am speaking of the weapons that do not have a 'usage button' on the tactical screen in battle. If missle weapons only have so many reloads, is it better to just load up ships with guns and beam weapons?I'm also wondering about the photon torpedo and if it works forever, or is limited to a number of shots before it's out of ammo?
Number of unlocks are for 'tactical weapons' means number of times it can be usedNumber of fire are for normal weapons means number of time it will fireMissles and Torpedos do a lot more total damage in a short time, most battles only last a minute which means running out of munition is not an issue. Basicly running missles and Torpedos means high burst damage. Boss fights and later missions means you will run out of munitions so build your ships for a long fightMany of the beam, kinetic weapons have unlimited ammunition. Most of the weapons are well balanced.Just build whatever works for you. Due the amunitionlimit I won´t build tactical weapons but the air defense from the drones.A Battleship has 4 6/8/10 Weapons, so they won´t get out of ammu.I have some rockets, too.I try to build my ships for all distances and types. But don´t forget.Kation-Beam will slow each ship down but makes very less damage. It´s a good weapon again smaller fast ships like a fregate who wan´t to step behind your ships.Other weapons are very fine in combination on hit with other weapons same time on same ship.Other reduce defense. But the problem is the cryptic text at the time. I cannot read all the function of a weapon.
